Herbal Balance - Terms & Conditions

These Terms & Conditions outline the services provided by Herbal Balance (operated by Karolina Brzeska, sole trader, London, UK). By booking a consultation or purchasing remedies, you agree to the following:

1. Services

  • Herbal Balance offers herbal medicine consultations, lifestyle advice, and the preparation of bespoke remedies (teas, tinctures, powders, and capsules).

  • Consultations may be held in person (London) or online.

  • Clients must be 18 years or older.

2. Consultations

  • A written treatment plan will be provided within 2 working days of each consultation.

  • Cancellations must be made with at least 48 hours’ notice.

    • If cancelled within 48 hours, 50% of the consultation fee will be charged.

    • Missed appointments without notice are charged in full.

  • No deposit is currently required, but this policy may change.

3. Payments

  • Payments can be made by bank transfer or PayPal.

  • All payments are due on the day of consultation unless otherwise agreed in writing.

4. Remedies & Prescriptions

  • Remedies are usually bespoke and made following a consultation.

  • Some ready-made remedies are available but can only be supplied after a short health questionnaire (acting as a mini-consultation) to ensure suitability.

  • Remedies may be collected in person or sent by post within the UK only.

    • Postage is charged at a flat fee of £5.

  • As remedies are made to order, no returns or refunds are accepted.

5. Disclaimer

  • Herbal medicine is a complementary therapy and does not replace medical advice, treatment, or diagnosis from a qualified medical professional.

  • Clients should consult their GP or healthcare provider regarding any existing medical conditions, medications, or new symptoms.

  • Herbal Balance does not provide a medical diagnosis.

  • Herbal Balance cannot be held responsible for adverse reactions if remedies are not taken as instructed.

6. Client Responsibility

  • Clients must provide accurate, complete information regarding their health and medical history.

  • It is the client’s responsibility to inform Herbal Balance of any changes to their health, medications, or circumstances.

7. Privacy & Data Protection (GDPR)

  • Herbal Balance collects and stores personal data (including health information) for the purpose of providing safe and appropriate treatment.

  • Data is stored securely on a password-protected laptop and within password-protected folders.

  • Records are kept for 7 years in line with professional guidelines.

  • Clients have the right to access, correct, or request deletion of their data (subject to legal requirements).

  • Information will not be shared with third parties without explicit consent, unless required by law.

8. Liability

  • While every effort is made to provide safe and appropriate treatment, Herbal Balance is not liable for:

    • Adverse reactions arising from undisclosed health information.

    • Remedies not taken as directed.

    • Delays or issues with postal deliveries.

9. Governing Law

  • These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
